The Start'NTrade project, initiated as part of the Digital Transformation Program and the PEMA II project, aims to bridge the gap between the needs of Tunisian businesses and the innovative technological solutions available. Implemented by GIZ Tunisia in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Export Development and CEPEX, this program fosters collaboration and co-creation of innovative solutions to drive growth and competitiveness for Tunisian businesses in international markets.
Project Objective and Challenge
The main goal of Start'NTrade is to identify the challenges faced by exporting SMEs and connect them with carefully selected tech startups to address these challenges. In this second cohort, our challenge was to collaborate with the company Bachmara on the "Technical Method for Knowledge Transmission in the Passementerie Industry."
Project Phases
Initial Interview: Our team began with an interview where we introduced our project and solution to the responsible team. This discussion aimed to demonstrate the relevance and innovation of our approach.
Evaluation Period: Selected among eight other startups, we underwent a rigorous evaluation period led by experts in technology, business, legal, and tax fields. This in-depth assessment allowed us to showcase our maturity as a startup and qualify for the next phase.
Pitch and Matching: In the next stage, we presented our solution to the Bachmara team. Our compelling pitch led to a strategic collaboration with this SME, marking a crucial milestone in our project.
Demo Day: We had the honor of presenting our partnership at the Demo Day organized by the project team. Competing against other projects tackling various challenges, our solution stood out, earning us the title of "Demo Day Winning Project."
The Start'NTrade project, in partnership with EY, GIZ, and CEPEX, provided us with an exceptional platform to showcase our ability to deliver innovative technological solutions and collaborate effectively with SMEs to address specific challenges. This enriching experience strengthened our position as a mature startup and enabled Bachmara to access innovative solutions to enhance its passementerie business.
Our partnership with Bachmara involves providing an e-learning platform developed by Lectful. This platform will create an educational environment for Bachmara employees to acquire the necessary skills for their professional development.
Bachmara chose e-learning to provide quality education to its employees while eliminating challenges related to on-site training and onboarding processes. In this journey, Lectful was selected by EY experts as the preferred partner to ensure Bachmara’s success in this new phase of professional training and business expansion.
Our participation in this project highlights the importance of collaboration between startups and established businesses in fostering innovation and competitiveness in the global market. We are proud of our journey and achievements and eagerly anticipate future collaboration opportunities.
